Our Purpose

The Distillers’ Charity is a fundraising and grant-making organisation with the primary purpose of providing funding and support to other charities. While we do not directly fund individual beneficiaries, our carefully selected charity partners ensure that our grants create meaningful, lasting impact.

Our Mission

To Transform Young People’s Lives, helping young people to reach their full potential, improve their life chances, and make a positive contribution to their communities - including within the distilling industry and associated trades.

Our Three Impact Areas

Our charitable funds support our mission through the work of three distinct but integrated grant-making programmes:

Youth Action Fund

Funded by The Distillers One of One Auction, which is backed by the Scotch Whisky Industry. This strategic initiative has been designed to help transform the life chances of young people in Scotland, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. It equips them with the skills and confidence to create positive and lasting change though achieving employability.

City & Livery Giving

Supporting wider philanthropic initiatives, this fund provides targeted support particularly to young people, including those within our industry, helping them overcome barriers to success.

Vocational Training & Education

Providing education and career development opportunities for promising young entrants and those wishing to advance their careers in the spirits industry. This programme helps individuals build their knowledge and skills for meaningful employment and long-term career fulfilment.
